This is a manual for using Technician Desk.

When login through the Technician Category, we will see Technician desk which has Panel as follow:

  1. Laboratory

  2. Radiology

  3. Reports

  4. Custquery

  5. Inventory

  6. Settings

  7. Extra

  8. Help



1. Laboratory

The Laboratory panel has Menu:

  1. Test Addition

  2. Test Sampling

  3. Pre-Reporting

  4. Test Reporting

  5. Report Setting




Test Addition: This panel is needed when the test billing is not done through the software. We have to add the test manually in the lab. To add test follow the step: The encounter no. of patient is filled in the block

  1. Enter the encounter no. of patient and Press Enter then the patient information is displayed.

  2. Click on file and click add test or CTRL + T(for group, add group or CTRL + G).

  3. Select the test

  4. Press the insert button on the keyboard.

  5. Press Enter.

  6. Select all the test(CTRL+ A)

  7. Specify the specimen (For Eg. Blood, Urine, Etc.).

  8. To generate the sample no. click on .

  9. Click on Update.

Option A for Generating Work Sheet And Option B is For Barcode Printing for Sample tube.

If we check the W checkbox then it will auto print worksheet while update and on checking B checkbox, it will auto print barcode on update.






Test Sampling: After billing all the test are seen in the Test Sampling Panel.


  1. To specify the laboratory department (For Eg. Biochemistry, Hematology, etc.). % symbol is used to indicate all.

  2. Refresh the Output(CTRL + R).

  3. Search for Particular encounter no(F1).

  4. Search for particular name.

  5. If we select the checkbox the sampled test will also displayed.


The Test Sampling Step are as follow:

  1. Click on the refresh button(or CTRL + R).

  2. Select the name.

  3. Right click on the test and add test(or select the test and press CTRL +A).

  4. Select the test.

  5. Specify the specimen (For Eg. Blood, Urine, Etc).

  6. To generate the sample no. click on .

  7. Click on Update.

Test Reporting:
In this panel we enter the report which had been analysed.

  1. To specify the laboratory department(For Eg. Biochemistry, Haematology, etc.). % symbol is used to indicate all.

  2. Refresh the Output(CTRL + R).

  3. If we select the checkbox the Reported test will also displayed.


The test reporting step are as follow:

  1. Click on the refresh button(or CTRL + R).

  2. Select the name(Or Write the encounter no. in 4 ).

  3. Click under the observation, the test you want to report.

  4. Click on the Report button to report dispatch.






Report setting (Laboratory Printing):
This panel is used for report dispatching.

3. Specify encounter no. if 1 is selected or sample no. if 2 is selected.

4. Specify the laboratory department or % for all department.

5. Select Reported to show not verified report or select verified to show verified report.

6. Select SI Unit or Metric for reference range value.

7. This option is use to specify selected test as printed after checking marked printed checkbox if we checked on printed then it will only show printed reported and if checked on new then it show not printed report.

8. The free writing space is use to write note for doctor.

9. A B C D option indicate different report format for printing.

Step for Report Printing:

  1. Specify encounter no. if 1 is selected or sample no. if 2 is selected.

  2. Click on show

  3. Select the test whose report is to be printed.

  4. Click on Report.

  5. Press Enter to printer
