This is a manual for using Consultant Desk.



To Assign Complaints to Respective Department (Ward)

  1. Click on Activity Tab
  2. Click on the "Comp Exams" option from the menu.

  1. A window as shwon below will pop-up.
  2. Select the Target which is comp ID of the computers assigned to the department. (% refers to all the department).
  3. Click on '+' button and then a window will pop-up.
  4. Select the category from drop down list such as Neurology, Cardiology, etc as per required. A list of complaints to that category shall be displayed.

  5. Select the check boxes of those complaints that is to be shown in the department.
  6. Finally, click on the arrow to add the complaints and close windows.




To Assign Examinations to Respective Departments (Wards)

  1. Click on Activity.
  2. Click on Comp Exams.

  3. Select the Target which is comp ID of the computers assigned to the department. (% refers to all the department) and click on Examination.
  4. Select Category from the drop down list :
    • Triage Examinations
    • Essential Examinations
    • Physician Examinations
    • Nursing Examinations
    • Discharge Examinations

  5. Click on the '+' button.


  6. Select the type of examination:
    • Qualitative - refers to the value in a short description to be added.
    • Quantitative - refers to the value as numbers to be added.


  7. A list of items will be shown from the selected category

  8. Select the required items for selected examinations and click on the arrow.


    The selected item shall be shown on the right hand side.


    Close all after the addition process has been completed.


Add custom examinatios for respective department.

To add different examinations in the cateforu of Delivery (Pre-Delivery; Post-Delivery; On Delivery and Baby Examination) and for Operation (Pre-Operative; Post-Operative; Operative and Anesthesia)

  1. Click on activity
  2. Select Dept Examination

  3. Select the Department

  4. Enter the name of the exam as Exam Label

  5. Select the data type as Qualitative or Quantitative

  6. Select the option type as:
    • Single Selection: This option is used to select between multiple choices.
    • Left and Right: This option is used to describe about the left or right body parts.
    • Multiple Selection: This option is used to slect more than one option
    • Date time: The input mode is used to give value in the date and timne format

  7. Click on Add.

To assign demographics to respective department (ward)

  1. Click on Activity
  2. Click on Demographics

  3. Select the Target (Comp ID) of the respective department where the demographics is to be added.

  4. Enter the name of the demographics as Variable

  5. Select the input mehtod from the drop down list:
    The use of the different inpout mode are:
    • No Selection: This option is used to input a value.
    • Single Selection: This option is used to select between multiple choices.
    • Multiple Selection: This option is used to select mulitple option form given values.
    • Quantitative
    • Date Time: The input mode is used to give value in the date and time format.

  6. Click on Add.

To provide Clinical Acccess

  1. Click on Activity
  2. Select on Clinical Activity

  3. Type the name of the person in the User Name field or Click on the "man" icon.

  4. Select the name of the clinician for whom access is to be disabled and click on the green "√" button.

  5. Click on the '+' button to add the forms that is to be disabled for the user.

  6. Check the boxes that is to be disabled.

  7. Click on OK
  8. Select the Target which is the Comp ID of the department.

  9. Finally Click on the ADD button.

Create a custom group for examinations

  1. Click on Group
  2. Select Exam grouping

  3. Enter the name fo the custom group to be created for the examination.

  4. Select ehe examination items from the drop-down list.

  5. Click on ADD.

  6. Repeat the above step until required number of examination has been listed down.

Add diet packages

  1. Click on Group
  2. Select Diet Packages

  3. Select a Group Name.

  4. From the components, select unspecified and mixture.
    • Unspecified refers to the individual edible items
    • Mixture refers to the mixture fo unspecified individual items.

  5. Select the item as shown in the list.

  6. Enter the quantity of the components in gram.

  7. Click on Save.

HMIS Report

  1. Click on Patient Data
  2. Select HMIS Report

  3. The HMIS report will look as follows:

  4. Select the "From and To Date" which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.

  5. From the list in the left side, select the required option and click on Referesh.
  6. The data shall be displayed on the right side.


    NOTE: Report button in the top-right-side shows the detail in the form of HMIS report that is to be submitted to the Government of Nepal.

IP Events (Discharge, LAMA, Refer, Death, Absconder)

  1. Click on Patient Data
  2. Select IP Events

  3. Select the "From and To Date" which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.
    • The date format is [month/date/year] in A.D.
      02/18/2019 A.D.
    • User can directly enter the date by clicking on the date and entering the date.

    • The first calendar icon will display a small calendar.

    • The second calendar icon will pop-up a message box.
      Here the user can enter the date in B.S. [year/month/date].

  4. Select the option from the drop-down list as per required.
    • % refers to all as a whole.
    • Department refers to all the wards in the hospital.
    • Status refers to condition of the patient (Discharge, LAMA, Refer, Death, Absconder)
    • Gender refers to Male, Female and Other.
    • Age: Specify the value for the age from which data is to be viewed.
  5. Click on Refresh


  6. The data shall be displayed
    Export button refers to the data to view, print and open in excel format.

Visit Report

  1. Click on Patient Data
  2. Select Visit Report


  3. Select the "From and To Date" which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.


  4. Select the option from the drop-down list as per required.
    • Last Status refers to the condition of the patient


    • Mode refers to the billing mode


    • Gender refers to Male, Female or Other


    • Regd Dept refers to the patient registered to the specific department


    • Comp ID refers to the department that the patient is registered to

    • District refers tot he location of the patient


  5. Click on Refresh button.


Patient Transition from one department (ward) to another

  1. Click on Patient Data
  2. Select Transition

  3. Select the "From and To date" which are the date between which the report is to be viewed.

  4. Select the option of Entry or Exit Date and Department (Dept)
    • Entry: The reports generates as the patient gets into the department

    • Exit: The reports generates as the patient gets out of the department

    • Dept: It refers to the department or ward for which the report is to be viewed.

  5. Click on Refresh

Reports related to accounts

  1. Click on Patient Data
  2. Select Accounts to open Account Dashboard

  3. Select the From and To date which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.

  4. Click on Report on the top right corner to view the report in summary.

  5. Other different reports related to account can be viewed from the Account Dash Board for Dispensing, Purchase, Diagnostics Test, and Inpatient.

Consultation Report

  1. Click on Service Data
  2. Select Consultations

  3. Select the From and To date which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.

  4. Select the different option from the drop down list
    • Consult refers to name of the consultant

    • Dept refers to the patient registered to the department (Ward)

    • Mode refers to the billing mode

  5. Optional: To search specific data, select an option from drop down list and enter the data in the empty box.

  6. Click on Refresh


View List of Procedures

  1. Click on Service Data
  2. Select Procedures

  3. Select the From and To date which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.

  4. Select the different options from drop down list.
    • Procedure: Name of the operation

    • Last Status: Planned, On Hold, Cancelled, Done, Minor and Referred.

    • Gender refers to Male, Female and Other

    • Age: Specify the value for the age from which report is to be viewed.

  5. Click on Refresh.


View Lists of Equipment Used:

  1. Click on Service Data.
  2. Select Equipment.

  3. Select the From and To date which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.

  4. Select the option
    • Start Date: Includes the starting of the equipment.
    • Stop Date: Includes the stopping of the equipment.

  5. Select the name of the equipment from the drop down list. (% if all the equipment required.)

  6. Click on Refresh.

Prescription

  1. Click on Service Data
  2. Select Prescription (Drug Report form is opened).

  3. Select the From and To date which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.

  4. Select the different option as per required
    • Route: It refers to the way the medicine is taken i.e. oral for tablets, liquid for syrup and suspension, injection, eye/ear, resp for respiratory, anal/vaginal
    • Freq: It refers to the medicine frequency given to the patient.
    • Gender refers to Male, Female and Other
    • Unit Dose: It refers to dosing of the medicine such as ‘100’ ‘mg’ medicine of paracetamol
    • Age: Specify the value for the age from which data is to be viewed.

  5. Click on Load Data

  6. Select the prescription of the medicine.

  7. Click on Refresh

  8. The report is generated with the name of the patient and their regimen of the medicine.

Confinement Report

  1. Click on Service Data
  2. Select confinement.

  3. Select the From and To date which are the dates between which the report is to be viewed.

  4. Select the different option as per required
    • Del Type: It refers to the type of delivery.
    • Complic: It refers to the complications during the delivery.
    • Result: It refers to the baby born.
    • District: It refers to the location of the patient.
    • Age: Specify the value for the age from which data is to be viewed.
    • Weight: Specify the value for the weight in gram from which data is to be viewed.

  5. Click on Refresh button.
