This is a manual for using Clinician Desk.

OPENING THE SOFTWARE - CLINICIAN DESK


  • Step 1 : Click on the software “SISH ”

  • Step 2 : Select Clinic

  • Step 3 : Type C in the first box or select the down arrow and click on clinician

  • Step 4 : Now Type your ID in the second box and password on the third box

  • Step 5 : Press enter twice or Click on “OK” with mouse.












FOR IN-PATIENT USERS










1.
FOR ADMITTING THE PATIENT

Step 1 : Select Multipatient

Step 2 : Click on InPatient Form

Step 3 : Type recent Encounter ID of the patient and press enter



Step 4 : Now click on the
+ icon beside the location box. A dialogue box will appear asking if you are sure to admit the patient.

Step 5 : Click on Yes and you will see the STATUS as ADMITTED now.

Step 6 : Click on the + icon beside the location box again to select ward and bed for the patient.


Step 7 : Click on the ✅ sign of the allocated bed of the patient. A dialogue box will appear. Click Yes.

FOR CHECKING BED OCCUPANCY

Step 1 : Select Multipatient

Step 2 : Select Bed Occupancy

Step 3 : Select ward and then click on refresh to see the admitted patient’s list.


[Note : Only the occupied beds will be shown in the list. Empty beds will not be mentioned.]


3. VITALS ENTRY

Step 1 : Open IN-PATIENT FORM from MULTIPATIENT and type the encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 2 : Press “Ctrl+E” or click on the “Data entry” and select Essen Exams.





Step 3 : Select on the diastolic B.P and press enter.



Step 4 : Write the value and press enter twice or Click on Save with mouse

Step 5 : Press down arrow twice and press enter to go the O2 saturation and repeat the same step as above.

Step 6 : Once you have entered all the values, Close the box either by pressing Esc. Button on keyboard or click on cross mark of this box with mouse.

NOTE – To mark triage of the patient, click on this option ---->



4.
PHARMACY REQUEST

Step 1 : Open IN-PATIENT FORM from MULTIPATIENT and type the encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 2 : Go to REQUEST and select PHARMACY.

Step 3 :Click on “New Orders [F2]”























Step 4 : Select the route of administration and press enter.

Step 5 : Select the drug with generic name and press enter.

Step 6 : The dose of medicine will be shown automatically. Press enter.

Step 7 : Select the frequency of drug. (For Eg. OD, BD, TID, HS,etc.) Press enter.

Step 8 : Write for how many days is the medicine to be administered. Press enter.

Step 9 : The quantity will be auto-generated but you can also make changes to it by deleting the auto-generated quantity and writing on your own. Press enter twice till you see the medicine in the lower box. [It indicates the request has now gone to pharmacy.]

Step 10 : Close the box.

[Note : - You can also edit the frequency, quantity, days by clicking on the value that you want to edit and select “SAVE” once the entry is done.

- To delete the medicine entry, click on the cross mark at the side of the particular medicine and select “yes”.

- Also, the medicine dispensed by the pharmacy will now be seen in the “CURRENT[F1]” side.]



5. DOSING RECORD ENTRY


Step 1 : Open IN-PATIENT FORM from MULTIPATIENT and type the encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 2 : Select on the type of drug. FLUID category is for IV Fluids, ROUTINE category is for the regular drugs and STAT/PRN category is for the STAT/PRN drugs.


Step 3 : Now, select the drug and click on the pencil-like icon for dosing entry.



Step 4 : Select the drug and then enter the dose. (For Eg. 1 tablet, 5 mg, 2 ml, etc.) and then click on save or press enter.

Step 5 : If the drug is in tablet form, the dose will automatically be locked. But in case of injection or fluids, the play button will appear that means starting the dose and then stop button will appear that indicates stopping the dose. Once you stop the dose, the medicine will be locked automatically.

Step 6 : Close the box.

[NOTE – Timings of the dose given will be auto-generated.]


6. LAB REQUEST

Step 1 : Open IN-PATIENT FORM from MULTIPATIENT and type the encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 2 : Go to REQUEST and select LABORATORY or press “F11”.

Step 3: Click on the “Request” of this box and select each test and click on the "arrow button".

S tep 4 : The test will now appear on the other side of the box and click on SAVE.












Step 5 : Close the box.

[NOTE : To delete the entry of test, right click with mouse or Ctrl+D on the particular test and click on the delete option. A dialogue box will appear and click on yes.

- You can see the pending lab reports if you click on “PENDING”

- Reports can be viewed by clicking on “STATUS” and then clicking on refresh. Particular test can be selected and report can be viewed too.]


7. VIEWING LABORATORY REPORTS

Step 1 : Open IN-PATIENT FORM from MULTIPATIENT and type the encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 2 : Go to DATA VIEW and select INVESTIGATION from the option.





Step 3 : Click on the given icon to view report.





8.
ENTERING CHIEF COMPLAINTS

Step 1 : Open IN-PATIENT FORM from MULTIPATIENT and type the encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 2 : Click on PRESENT[F1] and select the symptom from the given list. Press enter.



Step 3 : Type duration of the symptom i.e, for how many days/hours/weeks has the symptom persisted.

Step 4: Select the unit from the box i.e, hours/days/weeks/months/years.

Step 5 : Press enter twice.

[NOTE – In case of any correction to be made, click on the cross mark beside the complaint.

- It is to be remembered that changes can be made only by the user who entered the symptom.]



9.
ENTERING INTAKE/OUTPUT

Step 1 : Open IN-PATIENT FORM from MULTIPATIENT and type the encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 2 : Click on the “In/Out[F3]”. The sign indicates output whereas the + sign indicates intake.

S tep 3 : A dialogue box will appear after clicking Select the type of output(vomitus/drainage/urine) Type the value and click on “SAVE”.

Step 4 : Similarly, if you select + sign then, a new dialogue box will appear. Select the food given. Type the value and click on “UPDATE”.



Step 5 : Close the box.



10.
ADDING NOTES

Step 1 : Open IN-PATIENT FORM from MULTIPATIENT and type the encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 2 : Select “NOTES and select the Nurses’ note for writing nursing note and select Progress note for writing progress notes.

S tep 3 : Click on Add for adding the written note.


Step 4 : Click on Edit for editing the note.


ENTERING DATA OF MANY PATIENTS AT ONCE

Step 1 : Select Multipatient

Step 2 : Select Bed Occupancy

Step 3 : Select ward and then click on refresh to see the admitted patient’s list.

Step 4 : Click on the down arrow of the “OPEN” and select the required option.(For eg. If you have to send pharmacy request of all patients, select Pharmacy. If you have to enter Vitals, select Essen Exams and so on.)

S tep 5 : Click on the human-like icon of the desired patient and the required task can be performed with ease for all patients in the similar manner.












12.
UPDATING USER SETTING

Step 1 : Go to settings.

Step 2 : Select app setting.

Step 3 : Select Userwise and then click on the down arrow of the particular selection mode box.

S tep 4 : Select GridView and click on.

Step 5 : Close the box.

FOR OUT-PATIENT USERS

Step 1 : Select Activity and select Outpatient Form.







Step 2 : Type recent Encounter ID of the patient and press enter.

Step 3 : Vitals values are to be typed and press enter twice or click on the green tick mark with mouse.

[ NOTE – Other all features are same as In-Patient Users.]

LOGGING OUT FROM THE SOFTWARE

Step 1 : Click on HELP

Step 2 : Select EXIT

Step 3 : Click on YES.

[NOTE – Exit everytime you are done using the software. ]
